Ja Rule is stepping back into hip-hop after spending two-years behind bars.
The rapper has released his first solo track since being released from prison in May. Fittingly titled "Fresh Out Da Pen," the hard-hitting track finds Ja rapping about his thuggish life. However, he insists that his days of going to jail are over.
On the track, he raps that he's "tryin' to avoid the law" and that he's doesn't want to get "locked up" anymore.
Last month, Ja teamed up with N.O.R.E. on the remix to "She Tried," which also featured Lil Wayne and Birdman.
He was also recently photographed in the studio with his former collaborating partner Ashanti.
